A recent study with end users of mobile messaging devices in organizations reveals just how critically dependant we have become on our handsets. Among other things the survey revealed that:
* 35% respondents said that if there cell phones were to conk off, it would critically impact their ability to make critical, time-sensitive decisions.
* On forgetting a mobile device home, 20% said they would immediately return home to retrieve it, while another 9% said they would get someone from home bring it to them.
* 79% said they have used their mobile device in the bathroom, 41% have used it while flying on a commercial flight and 11% have used it during a “romantic” moment
